GYNECARE+ gets the FIT Impact Grant

An innovation to transform gynecological consultations

The GYNECARE+ project, by Lirjeta Maxhuni, has been awarded the FIT Impact Grant 2024, worth CHF 10,000. This innovative garment aims to transform the experience of gynecological consultations by offering more comfort and respect for patients’ privacy.

The objective of GYNECARE+ is clear: to remove the psychological and cultural barriers that still dissuade too many women from consulting a gynecologist. An Ifop study reveals that 60% of women have already given up on a gynecological appointment due to stress, embarrassment or a bad past experience. With this ingenious garment, Lirjeta Maxhuni provides a concrete solution to a public health problem.

GYNECARE+ is designed with strategic openings that allow for various examinations – chest, pelvic or ultrasound – without the patient having to undress completely. This design not only guarantees optimal access for the doctor, but also maximum warmth, discretion and comfort for patients.

With the support of H4, Lirjeta Maxhuni will use the FIT Impact grant to carry out real-life tests with gynaecologists and partner hospitals. These tests will enable the prototype to be perfected before its commercial launch, and to see how its use fits into the consultation without disrupting it or making it take longer.
